I have attached details of upcoming Focus events at the University of Huddersfield, these days are designed for Y12 or Y1 students who may have an interest in studying that area at University in the future and are free of charge.  
 
Operating Department Practice – 9 March – Places available – last chance to book!
 
Psychology Focus Day – 28 March – Places available
 
If you would like to book some students onto an event please fill out the booking form and return to me as soon as possible.  If you have any colleagues who may be interested in booking places please pass this email onto them.   Please note that it is not possible for us to provide lunch vouchers for these events.

TO ALL STUDENTS - From now on, all lates on the gate detentions will be carried out at break in La1 - be prompt A teacher will tick you off and supervise you in silence
Litter duty will no longer be the punishment for being late on the gate Mr. Huddart

A reminder for the Animal Appreciation Club Members, we are going to the Wildlife Park this Wednesday so remember to meet at the bus stop at 2.10pm. You need to bring your bus fare, £1 for the park and any presentation work you have done.

• SPORTS PRESENTATION EVENING: Tickets are going fast, so if you want to come and haven't yet brought back your slip and the money, please do so quickly this week!!!!

Notice to all Year 8 pupils taught by Mrs Farr for ICT (8egh3 and 8jkl3) If you require an appointment for parents evening on Monday night, please come to her office, next to the staff room, during break time today to make one.

All Years - from Friday 2nd March, the next Friday you are in school, the Library will be holding Friday breaktime reading only sessions (see the 'Read and Refresh' posters around school). This will involve free refreshments and lots of peace and quiet to read whatever you want. Open to both students and staff, places are limited so booking is essential. To book your place please see Mrs Sheerin in the Library.

Following last year’s hugely successful event you and your students are invited to this year’s GET UP TO SPEED WITH ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING EVENT, part of the 2012 GLOBAL MANUFACTURING FESTIVAL.

THIS IS A FREE INTERACTIVE, FUN EVENT AIMED AT YOUNG PEOPLE, FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE. THE EVENT HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE AND WILL INSPIRE AND INFORM VISITORS ABOUT OPPORTUNITIES IN ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING IN THE REGION.
